Weblog Update

It is a VERY long time since the last posting to this weblog.

"Catalyst " is still going strong! although I am still to finish of a few of the inside trimmings and sort out a couple of small ergonomic issues.

Apart from day sails, we have only managed the 2010 InterClub Bay Cruise and one other overnight stay. She is a very comfortable boat for cruising, and we hope do more of it in 2012.

The Construction Log is about to change from www.combyuro.com to www.combyuro.com/catalyst

That's to make way for a homepage for www.combyuro.com.....

Launching the Boat

To move the boat, we had to jack it up on stacks of timber, build a cradle, and then take off the end of the shed to get the trailer under.

Then, we had to lift it over the front fence ...

And get it to the water ....

Then, the crane lifted "Catalyst" into the water.

Splash .....

Ready To Launch

After 5 years, the boat is (almost) ready to launch!

There's still a few jobs to be done here and there, but the time has come to get the boat floating, and enjoy using it. Hopefully in a week's time, it will be on the back of a truck on the way to the water, along with two pilot cars, a police escort, and me following nervously behind.

Painting

The boat project slowed to a crawl over the past few months, due to work commitments. However, I'm back onto the boat full time, and the painting is almost complete. My website is now at www.combyuro.com, as Telstra decided to cancel their free hosting.

But, any excuse will do to get out on the bay - I took this photo at the finish of the Kingfisher Bay race a couple of weeks ago
